My journey began in Egypt, where my passion for both media and sports slowly started to take shape.
Before stepping into sports journalism, I studied Radio and TV, focusing on directing and film. Storytelling was always at the center of what I loved building narratives, capturing moments, and bringing ideas to life on screen. But even during those early years, there was something else that stood out more than anything else: sport.
Tennis played a huge role in shaping who I am. I’ve been playing for over 12 years, competing at a national level and winning several competitions along the way. Through it, I learned discipline, resilience, and how powerful moments in sport can be and that’s what made me want to tell those stories, not just live them.
The decision to combine media and sport didn’t happen overnight, but once it did, it changed everything.
That decision led me to move from Egypt to Madrid.
Moving to Spain meant stepping into a completely new environment a new culture, a new language, and new challenges. But it also meant being closer to the heart of the sports industry, where I could learn, create, and grow every day.
Now, as a Master’s student in Sports Journalism and Communication at the Real Madrid Graduate School, I’m working on turning that passion into a career covering matches, creating content, and telling sports stories in a simple, real, and engaging way.
This blog is where I share that journey from behind the scenes to on the field, and everything in between.
